I want to try RapidOne. What do I have to do?

Install RapidOne Server and RapidOne Team as a freeware. Add email functionality by installing RapidOne Mailex as well. All are absolutely free and fully functional!

Can I use RapidOne without having a dedicated server?

Yes, you can also install the 'server-program' on a Windows 2000 or Windows XP. It will run as a service on that machine. However, having a proper server installed is more secure.

Can I use RapidOne on a non-windows machine like an Apple?

No, RapidOne is designed and optimised only for window-based machines.

Can I change language?

Yes, for each client you can choose a different language. Go to options in the main menu, select General, language and change your default language.

Do I loose data when I want to upgrade from a light to a professional version?

No, RapidOne will keep the data. Each client however has to re-register (In the login screen, choose 'New Registration') to take this into effect.

I want to install RapidOne on my laptop and use it on two machines. Do I need a new licence?

No, You can install up to 5 copies of RapidOne on different machines with only 1 licence (freeware or professional). All 5 will have identical data through synchronisation.

My PC is crashed and I need to install RapidOne again. Have I lost all my data?

No, all data is stored at the server and that will be automatically restored with the new installation. Only data changed or added after the last synchonisation is lost. You must however make regular back-ups of the server data.

My PC has been stolen. How secure is my data?

All data is saved in a local database which is password protected. Only RapidOne has access to the data. Without your password no-one can access RapidOne. Even if the database were accessed, only data for that specific client can be found on the local database, data from others is not found locally.
